New XP line for sealing solutions from Pennsylvania Products

Pennsylvania Products recognizes environmental stewardship through its new line of high-performance acrylic sealant products.

Acrilastic XP is a 100% acrylic based sealant, siliconized, designed to seal joints between smooth and porous materials, favoring sustainable development through environmental care. It is a product manufactured as a soft, creamy and easy to apply paste. It has excellent properties such as adhesion to a variety of substrates, great durability in exteriors, high movement capacity, low VOC and avoids the formation of fungus. After application, the product quickly forms a tack-free surface and takes on a solid, elastic consistency with characteristics like those of vulcanized rubber.

This product complies with ASTM C-920 Class 25.

  • Environmentally friendly.
  • Reduces sound transmission levels.
  • Prevents the formation of fungus.
  • High resistance to rain.
  • Excellent adhesion to porous and smooth surfaces.
  • Can be applied on slightly damp surfaces.
  • Does not drip.
  • It is paintable (For better performance, elastomeric paints are recommended).
  • Due to its low VOC level, it contributes to obtain points for LEED certification.

It has a higher weather resistance than traditional acrylic sealers.

Recommendations

  • Apply the necessary amount of the product.
  • Do not apply on wet surfaces or materials in the process of curing or setting.
  • Paint until completely cured.

Maintenance

  • No maintenance is required.
  • If the seal is damaged, replace the damaged section by cleaning the surface before applying the new sealant.

Precautions

Some precautions to consider are to avoid its application in exteriors when heavy rains are expected, do not apply on sealer or aged paint, avoid contact with the eyes, in case of contact with the eyes wash immediately with abundant water.
